Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy are already winning our hearts as a couple on “Dancing with the Stars,” and the latest season hasn't even started yet.
The Olympic gold medalist and her pro dance partner are hard at work preparing their moves for the show. On Wednesday, Chmerkovskiy shared a little glimpse at the pair's first rehearsal and by the looks of things, they're going to kill their first routine.
“Still need a lot of work on the frame. but eyyyyy we already got a handshake,” the dancer wrote. “So excited for the season. Helping this incredible girl reach her ballroom dreams. She's is a real gem.”

The full lineup for Season 23 of “DWTS” was announced earlier this week and includes fellow Olympian Ryan Lochte, along with Amber Rose, Marilu Henner, Rick Perry and Vanilla Ice.
The new season premieres Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
