It's the Roc!
Following a slew of critically-acclaimed releases through 9th Wonder's Jamla Records, North Carolina MC Rapsody has announced a new deal with Roc Nation.
This doesn't mean the end of her Jamla partnership, however. Via Instagram, the NC spitter delivered the news. “Welcome to JamRoc,” she wrote. “#Jamla #Rocnation.”
9th Wonder also celebrated the partnership. “To new beginnings,” wrote the producer. “#WelcometoJamRoc @jamlarecords is the squad….. @rocnation is the family.”
Trusted Jay Z engineer Young Guru also offered up congrats and confirmation.
Yes @rapsody is now a @RocNation artist. I told ya we not playing with Jamla. Welcome to Jam/Roc!!

Throughout her career, Rapsody has released heralded projects including The Idea of Beautiful in 2012 and Beauty and the Beast in 2014. Last year, she also earned high praise for her Kendrick Lamar collaboration “Complexion (A Zulu Love)” off the Grammy-winning album To Pimp a Butterfly.
