King Kendrick continues his reign. After opening the BET Awards with “Alright,” the Compton kingpin debuts the black-and-white video for the fan favorite track off his chart-topping album To Pimp a Butterfly. In the epic seven-minute clip, directed by Colin Tilley and The Little Homies, Kendrick stands up against apartheid and discrimination. He rides out with his TDE crew including ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock while debuting some new bars.
“Tell me who the bitch ni**a hatin’ on me? / Jumping on my dick, but this dick ain’t free / To Pimp a Butterfly another classic CD,” he spits while four policemen hold up the vehicle.
The video then switches gears, with Kendrick in a car doing donuts through a parking lot in San Francisco while dancers perform on top of a cop car.
Kendrick also does his own stunts—gliding through the air, hanging upside down, and perched on a street light high above L.A. LIVE.
Watch the West Coast messiah put on for his city.
