John Oliver Announces His Endorsements For This Election Season

John Oliver just announced his endorsements for the upcoming election. But it's more of a what, rather than a who, that he's backing.

After running through the public figures who've offered support to presumptive presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in recent days, the “Last Week Tonight” host said he was ready for his own pronouncement.

But not for president of course,” he said in a web exclusive clip posted online Sunday. “Because of my accent, the only elected officials I can endorse are prime ministers, viceroys and magical railway controllers.”

Oliver went on to explain that he was fully behind a quirky list of concepts ― including animals wearing human clothing, interspecies friendships and the 1999 movie “Pushing Tin.”

Check it out in the clip above.
