Drake Brings Out Kanye West at 'Summer Sixteen Tour' in Chicago

The 6 God and Yeezus connect.

Kanye West joined Drake on stage during the “Summer Sixteen Tour's” second night in Chicago on Wednesday (Jul. 27).

Yeezy popped up for a surprise performance of “Pop Style.” He appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, by rising from the stage floor after Drizzy performed his half of the track.

That wasn't all, though. Following this, 'Ye also performed “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” and “Famous,” which he used to share a special message about his ongoing Taylor Swift feud.

“All I gotta say is, I am so glad my wife has Snapchat,” he told his hometown crowd. “Now y'all can know the truth and can't nobody talk shit about 'Ye no more.”

The G.O.O.D. Music and OVO connection goes even further. In April, Drake teased a potential joint project with Kanye that could still be in the works.

“We had plans,” Drizzy said at the time. “We were supposed to do a mixtape together, album together, so maybe we'll get that done.”

The two already have some songs in the stash. “We have a few things that we've worked on, and it's always just about finding a place for it,” explained Drake. “With him, you never know: He might call me tonight, and be like, 'Yo, these two songs that we did are coming out.' 'Ye is one of my favorite people period, in the world, man. I love 'Ye, man…I always grew up with him as a role model.”
