YG Explains 'Still Krazy' Delay, Receives Praise from Compton Mayor

Get your straitjackets. YG is bringing Bompton back with the June release of his sophomore album, Still Krazy.

During an interview with Power 106's “The Cruz Show,” the “FDT” rapper revealed why this album has been his most challenging yet.

“Everything was difficult on this album,” he explained. “It was the runaround on every level, just the producer side of things, recording, putting it together, really getting my story together, really getting it off for people to get tuned in and for it to feel how it needed to feel.

“The mixing part was very difficult due to the fact that [MixedByAli] got a lot of stuff going on right now,” he added. “Bro made it work, but how he made it work took some time, but it's all good. That was the most difficult, being real.”

Additionally, YG is gearing up for “The Endless Summer Tour,” which kicks off June 28 in Dallas. “G-Eazy gonna probably get all the good girls,” said YG of his tourmate. “I'ma get the bad ones.”

The interview also contained a surprise phone call from Compton Major, Aja Brown. “We're working on some things for the future,” she said, “to have that balance, to continue to grow not only as an artist, but as an individual.”

With an album, a tour, and some good deeds in Compton in the works, it sounds like YG's got plenty to look forward to in 2016.
