On his 30th birthday, T-Pain announced something his fans have been waiting on for years—a release date for his fifth album.
Stoicville: The Phoenix, his first project in four years, will arrive before the year is over. “December 11th Stoicville: The Phoenix rises!!! Taking you to new levels of T-Pain…one banger at a time!” he said.

In an interview with Rap-Up TV, he spoke about the follow-up to 2011’s Revolver. “It’s a T-Pain album. It’s not a new T-Pain, it’s not an old T-Pain. It’s just me,” he said. “I’m just doing what comes to my heart. I’m not trying to make a blockbuster album. I’m not trying to make a hit record. It’s not about that anymore. I’ve done that many times. It’s just about putting out music that I believe in now. It’s a little more free than before.”
He worked with a “ton of people” including Juicy J, who appears on the single “Make That Shit Work.” Earlier this month, he dropped a new song called “Roof on Fye.”
