Kim Kardashian Is Not Sure Why People Still Freak Out Over Her Nude Photos

Kim Kardashian knows a thing or two about posing nude and giving zero f**ks. Which is why she thinks it's sort of bizarre when certain people (*cough Bette Midler, Chloë Grace Moretz*) freak out when she gets naked.

In an interview with Kara Swisher on Recode Decode, Kardashian opened up about igniting a media firestorm, as well as opinions from a few celebrity critics, after sharing a nude photo in March.

"Like I truly was baffled when people still cared," Kardashian said of her sexy selfie, seen below. "I'm like they have seen me naked 500 times! And the censor bar literally was probably more covering than a bikini. I could not grasp how people were so outraged."

When you're like I have nothing to wear LOL

The 35-year-old reality star and KIMOJI creator said that the response to her photo was varied, as certain people were up in arms because Kardashian is a mother, while others were more supportive. But with her following of over 73 million people on Instagram and 45 million on Twitter, Mrs. Kardashian West insists you can simply unfollow her if you don't like her photos or posts.

"My personality has never been, 'I'm such a feminist and follow me and be naked!'" Kardashian said. "If you are conservative and that's how you are comfortable, more power to you. I respect you. You don't have to look at what I do. I'll post what I'm comfortable with."

Kim has talked about this particular nude photo before, penning a thoughtful essay on nudity and empowerment

"I never understand why people get so bothered by what other people choose to do with their lives. I don't do drugs, I hardly drink, I've never committed a crime - and yet I'm a bad role model for being proud of my body?" the entertainer wrote, before giving a shoutout to using social media for good.

"I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world."
