Iman's love for David Bowie is forever.
On Monday, what would have been the couple's 24th wedding anniversary, the supermodel took to Instagram to share a stunning photo of herself and her late husband, who died in January of this year.
In the shot, which was taken by iconic photographer Bruce Weber for Vogue in 1995, the couple is seen embracing each other on the beach with huge smiles on their faces. "The best thing about you is me" is written over the bottom half.
Bowie and Iman met at a dinner party in 1990, and from the moment the Starman laid eyes on the model, he was in love. The couple married on June 6, 1992, in Tuscany, a month and a half after first saying "I do" in Switzerland.
"My attraction to her was immediate and all-encompassing,” David told Hello! magazine in 2000. "That she would be my wife, in my head, was a done deal. I'd never gone after anything in my life with such passion in all my life. I just knew she was the one."
Meanwhile, in 2011, Iman told The Cut that after two weeks of dating, Bowie greeted her at the airport with flowers in hand after a flight from Paris to LA.
"That was when I knew he was a keeper," she said.
When Bowie died, Iman again used social media to honor her partner, sharing photos and touching quotes.
