Are Kanye West and Big Sean Working on 'Cruel Winter'?

Kanye West and Big Sean are delivering even more “Blessings” to their fans.

On Tuesday (May 31), the G.O.O.D. Music duo was in the studio together, crafting new material, and a snippet from their session appeared on Sean Don's Snapchat story.

In the short clips, a new Yeezy verse can be heard. “Pray for me,” he raps. “I'm about to hit the 'Ye button / I don't want to say nothing wrong.”

Then, in another clip, Mr. West can be heard rhyming in third person about how “Yeezy might have to go and put his Louis on.” The Snap also features the duo jumping around while the track is playing back.

It's unclear where the song will land, but Kanye's longtime collaborator Fonzworth Bentley seemed to indicate that it could very well end up on Cruel Winter, the follow-up to G.O.O.D. Music's 2012 compilation Cruel Summer. That release spawned several singles, including “Mercy,” “New God Flow,” and “Clique.”

Bentley fueled the Cruel Winter rumors with a Snap from the session featuring Yeezy and Sean. The hashtag “#CruelWinter” appears on the image, which was captioned: “Happening now! #YeButton.”

Whether Cruel Winter actually comes out remains to be seen. The project has been talked about since 2012, when Q-Tip hinted its release.

The track could also land on Kanye West's Life of Pablo follow-up Turbo Grafx 16 or Big Sean's follow-up to Dark Sky Paradise, which doesn't have an official title just yet.
