Vanessa Hudgens' Brave 'Grease: Live' Performance Blew Everyone Away

Only hours after her father's death, Vanessa Hudgens took the stage in Fox's televised production of "Grease: Live" on Sunday night.

Playing the role of the original bad girl and leader of the Pink Ladies, Betty Rizzo, Hudgens delivered the performance of a lifetime in the midst of what one could only assume was an incredibly painful day.

Her two emotionally layered solos, "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee" and "There Are Worse Things I Could Do," ranked as some of the night's best performances, particularly the latter in which Hudgens was unafraid to tap into the character's heartbreaking declaration of vulnerability.

Watch the two numbers below.

The Twitterverse, of course, was watching "Grease: Live" under a microscope with many celebrities like Broadway legend Lin-Manuel Miranda and "High School Musical" co-star Ashley Tisdale quickly commending Hudgens on her stellar performance.

After all the hand-jiving and grease lightnings were said and done, Fox ended the three-hour performance with a dedication to Hudgens' father, Greg.
