TLC just can't seem to part ways with the Duggars. The family's reality series "19 Kids and Counting" was officially canceled by the network in July, but now sisters Jill and Jessa are set to return in their own show, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."
The new series follows a three-part special of the same name that aired in December. The sisters' show will focus on their lives with their husbands and children, and will include appearances by multiple Duggar siblings, according to Us Weekly.
The decision to bring the Duggars back to the network doesn't come as a surprise since "19 Kids and Counting" was TLC's most-watched series. In August, Discovery Communications revealed it lost about $19 million after they axed the show following Josh Duggar's confession that he molested five underage girls, including his sisters, when he was a teenager.
Despite the controversy surrounding the family, more than three million people turned in to watch the three-part special focused on Jill and Jessa. In January, TLC's executive vice president and general manager Nancy Daniels said the network was "still talking and considering" more episodes focused on the sisters, but hadn't made any decisions. Daniels went on to say the high ratings showed that their audience "clearly cares" about the sisters.
