High school player Cody Riley swooped in for a slam dunk that shattered the backboard and sent the rim crashing to the court.
And that was the end of that summer league game June 18 at Maranatha High School in Pasadena, California, because folks had to clean up the mess, Bleacher Report noted.
Riley may have missed the dunk but gained plenty of media attention from the moment.
He is scheduled to graduate from Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California, in 2017 and reportedly has several universities interested in him.
They better have tough baskets.
Here's the aftermath. It seems Sierra Canyon was trailing Chino Hills by quite a bit at the time of the destructive jam.
