Just like “fetch,” a “Friends” reunion is just never going to happen.
Jennifer Aniston confirmed the sad news during an interview with ITV's Lorraine Kelly on Thursday.
“I don't know what we would do,” the star of “Office Christmas Party” said. “I think that period of time was sort of nostalgic. I think why people have such an affection for it is because even though it was only 12 years ago it ended, or 13 it ended - God, it's getting farther and farther away - there was something about a time where our faces weren't shoved into cell phones.”
Aniston added, “We weren't checking Facebooks and Instagrams ― we were in a room together, in a coffee shop together. We were talking, having conversations. We have lost that.”
The actress isn't the only “Friends” star who agrees it would be hard ― or unnecessary ― to get the gang back together again.
Courteney Cox told fans last year that a “Friends” movie will definitely never happen and Joey Tribbiani Matt LeBlanc confessed in a HuffPost Live interview that he sides with Rachel and Monica.
“I don't see it happening,” the actor said. “ ... My opinion is that it shouldn't happen.”
