PGA golfer Tony Finau tied for 34th place in the Dean & Deluca Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas, on Sunday, but to one fan he might as well be the champ.
Finau drove an errant shot on Saturday that whacked Elisa Butler in the head, causing her to bleed, For The Win reported.
The pro showed far better form off the course, delivering a get-well card, flowers and chocolate to Butler personally at her home. The PGA confirmed the thoughtful exchange with ESPN.
Butler called it a "stand up gesture" and signed her missive, "your new favorite fan."
Finau had written on his Instagram that he wanted to make Butler "feel better."
Mission accomplished, Tony.
