Samuel L. Jackson's films had grossed more box office money than any other actor in filmmaking history by 2011, maybe because he's been in more than 120 movies since breaking into the business in the early '90s.
At the moment, he's in two films out at the same time: he's got a supporting role in "Chi-Raq" and plays a bounty hunter in Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight," his sixth collaboration with the director.
Whether he's Tarantino's muse, Nick Fury in half the Marvel movies, Mace Windu in those Star Wars prequels, or saving a plane from a knot of pissed-off snakes, the only thing Jackson has more of than movie credits has got to be hats.
Seems like he doesn't step out of the house, in front of a camera, or to a movie premiere without wearing a hat, usually a Kangol. He wore a Kangol in "Jackie Brown" and has since partnered with the brand on a line.
How many does he have? We asked, but Jackson's publicist wouldn't say -- seems it's a secret he wants to keep under his cap.
Here, we try to guess by looking back at his life in hats.
