But with the sketch show off air this weekend, it's instead unleashed a video montage of equally scary Halloween-themed clips.
Vincent Price, Matt Foley, Drunk Uncle and a whole host of the show's other regular fictional characters all feature in the medley.
President Barack Obama also makes a fleeting appearance.
While the video has garnered more than 140,000 views in less than 24 hours of being online, some viewers are already questioning the absence of David Pumpkins ― who Tom Hanks played to comically scary effect in last week's show. Why indeed?
