Many Americans attended fireworks displays to mark the Fourth of July. Others set their jerseys ablaze.
This July 4 was no ordinary day for Oklahoma City Thunder fans. In fact, it was downright crappy because Thunder star Kevin Durant chose our nation's birthday to announce he's leaving the team and joining the Golden State Warriors.
So some fans burned Durant's No. 35 like it was a backyard firework.
While the Thunder faithful may not get over his departure so quickly, the transition for Durant has been smoothed over with a contract reportedly worth $54.3 million.
Talk about a burn.
