Acting is hard enough without the challenge of emoting next to a CGI dragon, right?
During this weekend's Peter Dinklage-helmed episode, "Saturday Night Live” took aim at the technology used to bring the dragons of "Game of Thrones” to life. And by technology we mean "SNL" cast member Bobby Moynihan dressed in a skintight motion-capture spandex suit.
Presented as behind-the-scenes footage of the new season, the sketch features Dinklage reprising his role as Tyrion Lannister, while Kate McKinnon goes full Daenerys Targaryen, complete with icy blonde locks and a wardrobe to die for.
Apparently, the dragons on "Game of Thrones" are "scene stealers," but for all the wrong reasons. Moynihan's dragon creates his own lines, violates the boundaries of personal space and even pees himself, much to the displeasure of everyone who works with him.
Moynihan also appeared as A Game of Thrones mastermind George R.R. Martin in the opening monologue, which Dinklage said Martin wrote instead of completing the next installment in the fantasy series.
