New Music: Curren$y – ‘Chill’

It may be time to “Chill,” but Curren$y is doing anything but. Following the release of his January EP The Owner’s Manual, Spitta has been working hard on a slew of new music and on Friday (March 4), the New Orleans MC unleashed a brand new single.

“I went to the studio and laid down some thangs,” he tweeted. “Here’s one of them.”

Over soothing production, Spitta raps about everything from a Rolex to a Bentley, while making reference to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” There’s even a beat change for the MJ nod.

“Chill” is a sign of what’s to come from the prolific MC. Andretti recently announced that he’s also planning to release a 5-song project with 808 Mafia’s Purp soon.

While fans wait on that, “Chill” out to his new track.
