Missy Elliott is heading to “The Voice.” According to Us Weekly, the hip-hop superstar will join Season 9 as a celebrity advisor to Pharrell Williams.
Yes, this means some lucky young singer will get to bask in the glory of Missy’s hard-earned wisdom. She will help coach the contestants, following Pharrell’s previous mentors including Alicia Keys and Diana Ross.
Alongside Missy will be Selena Gomez, who will guest as Gwen Stefani’s advisor, John Fogerty as Adam Levine’s, and Brad Paisley, who will be paired with Blake Shelton.
This is just one in a string of exciting pair-ups between Skateboard P and Missy. The two have been spending time in the studio together, working on new material for Missy’s long-awaited seventh album.
Just this week, Pharrell shared a photo of them alongside rapper Kap G.
You can catch Missy and Pharrell on “The Voice” when it returns to NBC on Sept. 21.
